The 800HP Industrial/Marine Cam is a drop in camshaft for 3406E/C15 engines looking for more performance out of their engine. We have used this cam in many of our own builds in the shop and have had great results.

Used in C16 and C18 Cat Engines

This camshaft is meant to be run with a 10R-0955 and larger injector. This camshaft does not work well with small injectors like 8501's or 8502's. The nozzle holes are to small and this causes fuel pressure to build up to pressures that the injector internally can not tolerate. Common side effects of using this cam with small injectors on this cam are the engine fluttering under a load above 1500RPM and sometimes the injector will just simply miss.

  • Risks of Improper Setup: Using this camshaft with smaller injectors (e.g., 8501 or 8502) can cause severe issues, including excessive fuel pressure buildup, engine stuttering/fluttering under load (above 1500 RPM), and potential injector failure.
  • System Integration: For optimal performance, it is often paired with specific in-frame kits, ECM tuning, and turbocharger upgrades to achieve high horsepower.
